Now, lets not throw every single Wii game in this topic. Granted, there are only a few quality Wii titles on the system now (Twilight Princess, Madden 07, Wii Sports), with the rest falling between "poor" and "port with Wii controls and PS2 graphics."  So lets hear your opinions of bad Wii games.

Spiderman 3
Such a poor game. It had that much potential and it failed horribly. Swing the Wii-mote to attack... how original. How boring. How repetitive. Arrg, it just frustrates me, such a good franchise is ruined once again. Thanks Activision.

Oh man, say it ain't so! Just kidding...

Personally, I thought that there were some pretty good games for the Wii, but I'm not going to venture off topic here Smiley.

I just got Legend of the Dragon which just came out. A preliminary check of the reviews shows that it's getting panned. I'll be posting that bad boyup here as soon as I get into it. Sonic and the Secret Rings had potential, but was totally disappointing.

And aside from Air Hockey, Wii Play totally blows. Talk about the diposable camera of games. There's ZERO replay in the fishing and "find the Mii" mini games.

And my editor is all black-on-black...crap! Editor problem solved...man that sucked.

Interesting discussion gentlemen Shocked I've been following the Next-Gen systems for a little while now waiting for the dust to settle before i decide on my system. I've been interested in the Wii recently with all the uproar http://videogames.yahoo.com/ongoingfeature?eid=509116&page=0 but if their library of games is this bad then I might have to continue my wait.

Just out of curiosity have you guys tried the Tiger Woods '07 yet on the Wii? Kind of wondering if its realistic at all or another boring, repetitive, port of the PS2.

Honestly, I'm a little suprised to hear that from Ace...he's the biggest Nintendo fanboy that I know!

Honestly, there are some good games for the system like Warioware and Trauma Center. But with the good, there are some that are pretty disappointing and could have really used some more time like Cooking Mama, Elebits, or Sonic and the Secret Rings.

People are still feeling the system out right now, I'm sure there will be some stability in the next year or so...I hope  Undecided

Biggest fanboy, ha, so true. But not so much that my eyes are blinded - when Nintendo make mistakes I pick them out.

Yeah there have been some poor titles, but it can't be expected that every title is great. But then, we shouldn't have to rely on Nintendo first party titles either. something that is fast becoming a reality.

The release of Mario Strikers Charged next month (with online) should help rejuvenate the Wii, then we've got SSBB, Corruption and Galaxy to look out for.

You're totally right about the first party titles. Companies like EA really need to step up and try to utilize the Wii controls as more than a gimmick...and I think we saw that with Madden 07. They still have a lot of ground to cover though...if Burnout Legends for the DS was any indication.

I'm suprised you didn't mention Metroid Prime 3...

Mr. Freely, I totally spaced your question...I haven't played Tiger Woods for the Wii, but from what I've seen on X-Play (that alone should be taken with a grain of salt) that the controls are ok, but the game is totally stripped down from the previous games and essentially a step backwards.

What your post, it sounds almost like the PS2 version Smiley.

Corruption = Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Yeah, Nintendo's branching out into using : in their titles now.

It's the hip new thing to do now I suppose  Roll Eyes

Speaking of bad Wii games...Legend of the Dragon is ass. It's a cel-shaded fighting game that half-heartedly incorporates motion controls and features DBZ-style transformations into big, powerful characters. It's just too bad the fighting system is pretty shallow and any fun to be had is gone as soon as those neat looking cartoons start moving.

At first, I thought Scarface: The World Is Yours was pretty pathetic. But after spending a few hours with it the title has begun to grow on me. My review should be up on GW in a few days.

Not that I really have to say this after the review being posted here, but Bug Island was painful. After watching the Doctor play through it twice, I think I could honestly use that damn game for a coaster.

Define 'trouble.'

Swank's just too damn proud, methinks. He's not looking to 'sell himself' for more hits. He's an old-fashioned, honest guy. Hear hear for Brad!

Bad Wii games? Anything not released by Nintendo.

OOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Nah, not true. Strikers was awesome and BWii looks great. But nobody makes games like Nintendo.

You won't understand until you're older, Ace Wink.

You hit the nail on the head man. I don't want to cheapen myself by shilling here, there, on GW, or anywhere. I'd like the site to speak for itself. I will, however, shill GW because it's AWESOME.

OOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN! That Wii just got Sonned!

HAHAHA, very true. I have enjoyed the games Sega has made for the Wii so far...and here's to hoping Nights surpasses them all. Lord knows people have begged for it long enough. Looking at No More Heroes (from Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture - makers of Killer freakin' 7), I'm hoping Capcom will do the Wii proud as well. As far as I know...they haven't done anything for the Wii yet have they...well, anything ORIGINAL that's not RE4?

It's going to take time for 3rd parties to be creative. Then again, I only see Nintendo doing great things with the DS now too...hopefully the new Zelda game will open some peoples' eyes.

I'm going to reamian optimistic for the little white brick. I think it's capable of great things as soon as everyone gets their heads out of their asses Wink.

Capcom = behind Zack and Wiki. THAT'S why you need to pick it up.

Capcom are, in my books, the number 1 Wii developer (behind Nintendo) at the moment. They're putting effort into their games. RE4 was more than just a port, as Capcom made sure to offer more value this time around (EXCELLENT motion controls, more missions from the PS2 version, and at a reduced price). Zack and Wiki looks.... amazing. I can't wait to pick it up - Capcom are showing third parties how Wii games should be done.

Plus there's the Okami port (I don't care if its a straight-up port, I've never played Okami and I WANT IT), Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Monster Hunter 3 (recently changed from a PS3 exclusive to a Wii exclusive)... hell, I love Capcom. The only point I'm sour on is Resident Evil 5 not shipping to Wii - seeing as the GCN version did save the franchise.

As for third parties and Wii... that's a mixed bag. There certainly is a few reasons to go abroad on Wii (Strikers, No More Heroes, Sadness, Battalion Wars 2, Okami, Lego Star Wars: Complete Sage - actually, half of those games aren't even out yet...) but not many. Nintendo will always be the king. I will say though, EA are doing the hardest to enforce the "third parties games on Nintendo consoles are always shit" stereotype.
