Title: Sword of Sodan - The Super Official Non-Approved Official Feedback Thread
Post by: Dr. Swank on May 25, 2007, 08:13:19 PM
Official!

Did anyone ever have a chance to play this game back in the day without the burning, stinging feeling of disappointment in the back of their head?

Or even worse...is anyone curious to actually play the damn game now?

BTW, I was having issues with WMV files playing on the page...so I used MP4 files instead. Did anyone notice the article loading any slower? I would have posted a 56k warning, but Ace has broadband now...there couldn't possibly be anyone else using dial-up :P.

Heh heh heh, if it isn't the infamous Topher! Yeah man, Sodan was one of the first games I picked up when I borrowed your Genesis. I remember we played it for about five minutes, then we ended up playing Fantasia or something that you owned.

Remember Death Duel? I remember picking that one up too. You were in that tank and shot limbs off of monsters? I remember picking that one up purely for the dismemberment :P. Glad to see you here, especially since you got a sort of "shout out" in the article ;).

Hello sir, sorry for the wait on the shout out. My kids been really sick with epilepsy, and I have gone through a hard time. Anyway, I remeber Death Duel, and how it was somewhat funny yet horribly bad. What about Splatterhouse? Anybody remeber that one for the Genesis?

It's cool man, we all get tied up now and again. Hope things are better for you now.

You know, I have a special place in my heart for Splatterhouse...at least the arcade game. The Genesis version was pretty good, but lacked the oomph that the arcade had. I remember renting Splatterhouse 3 and being thoroughly disappointed with the apparent lack of gore in it.

I actually took another look at Death Duel and it didn't seem that bad to me...then again, that could have been the fresh smell of nostalgia at work. I wrote up on Tattoo Assassins instead. No doubt, I'll be revisiting Death Duel again...just to see if it's as bad as I truely remember.
